I accidentally almost typed "Founding Fathers" as the title. Wishful thinking (Bones, I miss you, come back from winter vacation!).
I am three brunch posts behind on this blog. Something about Christmas, going to the East coast, and some traditional binge-tv-watching/couch-potatoing made it really hard to sit down and put sentences together.
Ben and I took a trip to Washington, DC a few days before Christmas, and we had a brunch-like meal at Founding Farmers, which is a few [large] blocks from the White House. We shared the Chicken, Eggs, and Waffles. I had a chamomile tea, and Ben had a latte. They were the best brunch scrambled eggs I've had in my entire brunch blogging career, and the best (first) chicken and waffles too. We left Founding Farmers stuffed and ready to see the rest of DC.
Other highlights of the Washington, DC trip include: record stores in Richmond, VA and DC (Ben's highlight), dinner with my friend Ryan, many stops for hot tea, and seeing monuments and museums. Charlotte was lots of fun too, but I'll save that for the Christmas brunch post. Lots of pink was involved, prepare yourselves.
